THE FIRST FIVE DECISIONS

Make each step produce information.

  1. 01

    Open BUILD-UR-GUN

Choose a starter weapon you can keep using for several rounds. On PC, the official instructions say to click any part and scroll the mouse wheel to swap it.

CHECKPOINT — Do not change every slot yet.
  2. 02

    Build for control first

Read the completed weapon's stats, not just one part. Start by checking recoil and spread alongside damage, fire rate, reload, range, and mobility.

CHECKPOINT — Your goal is a readable baseline, not a perfect meta build.
  3. 03

    Save the baseline

Save the build before entering a match. This gives every later experiment a known version to return to.

CHECKPOINT — A saved baseline turns guessing into comparison.
  4. 04

Enter one match and read the objective

Use the opening moments to identify the current objective and the active fight. Test the weapon at the ranges the match actually gives you.

CHECKPOINT — A useful test follows the mode, not random isolated fights.
  5. 05

Change one part after the round

Pick the clearest problem, swap one matching part, and compare the full stat card again. Keep the change only if it improves the job you set for it.

CHECKPOINT — One change creates one useful lesson.
